~*The Last Goodbye Dance*~
I remember that special night,
When I was with my love at first sight.
I watched him as he ate his last crumb,
When I suddenly fell numb.
I told him that I loved him but he didn't respond,
All he did was stretch and yawn.
At that moment I only could stare,
He acted like I wasn't there.
Walking right past me he turned on the T.V,
I couldn't believe that he hasn't said anything to me.
Flipping through the channels he finally stopped,
On the screen it said "Plane Crash" at the top.
A reporter appeared and said "No one survived",
And that's when my husband started to cry.
I looked at the T.V and read "440",
That's the same plane I had flown.
Then I remembered the plane going down,
Then hearing a very loud crashing sound.
With tears in my eyes I looked at my husband,
And then I knew what had happened.
All he did was sit there and cry,
Said that he didn't get to say goodbye.
There was sadness in the room that lasted so long,
Then he got up and played our love song.
I wish I could just have one more chance,
To just have a last goodbye dance.
When he turned around and faced me,
His mouth made a smile as if he could see me.
He said my name and grabbed my hand,
All I could do was just stand.
He pulled me close and danced real slow,
While we both had tears that flowed.
After awhile we stopped and kissed,
I told him what I had wished.
Finally I said I have to go,
And thanks for the love that you have shown.
With pain in my heart I floated away,
And watched over him after that day.
